Te reo Māori is indigenous to Aotearoa therefore relevant to us all as residents and citizens of New Zealand. It is a Taonga handed down and recognised under the Treaty of Waitangi. Students will use a range of language modes to develop understanding and knowledge of Māori language and protocols. Students will strengthen their own identities while journeying towards shared cultural understandings, as well as helping to secure a future as a living, dynamic and rich language.
